As a child I remember my mum baking a super rich Christmas cake. We would wait for it. It would be a super moist and rich in taste. That is one thing I want to replicate for the kids this year. Then of course, Christmas isn’t complete without a plateful of cookies. Honestly, cookies is something I never succeeded at making well. I do love baking cakes, but I have always baked a disaster batch of cookies. All the time!

I love the minty taste of the candy canes. And when you add some crushed candy canes to freshly baked cookies, it can be a game changer. The best part is that you can get your children to help you as well to decorate these cookies with various other candies. Works wonderfully to keep them occupied as well. Colourful Christmas Cookies

Use cookie cutters to cut various shapes from the cookie dough. Bake them and decorate them with icing. these cookies really add a lot of colour to the festivities and make a wonderful gift too.
