Pure Brightening Sun Block Lotion by Auravedic

April 24, 2012 By: Pratibha6 Comments

I received the Pure Brightening Sun Block Lotion from Auravedic along with the Sandal Cinnamom Pulpy Face wash.

The Pure Brightening Sun Block lotion from Auravedic contains Amla, Tamarind and Mulberry. This sunblock is non-greasy and it gets absorbed in your skin quickly leaving it soft. It has a nice matte finish that does not make my skin oily. I have used this product even when I am at home and it makes my skin soft enough to not follow up with a moisturiser. When you are going out in the sun, I recommend that you should use this product because like most sunscreens, this product does not make your skin feel clammy and greasy.

It also has a nice citrus fragrance that wears out after a while, but it smells nice as long as it lasts. This product has SPF 30. This product is free of Parabens.

Usage: Gently massage onto face and neck until completely and thoroughly absorbed. Use 2-3 times daily.

Price and Shelf-life: Rs. 200 for a 100 ml bottle with a shelf life of two years from the date of manufacture.

Packaging:  The packaging as most Auravedic products are, is most simple. The only thing that I did not like about the packaging was that I had to open the cap and pour out the sunblock. It would have been a lot more simpler to use if it had a hand pump or was packed in a tube that could have been squeezed out.

Will I recommend this product? Yes, if you have a combination skin ( I do! ), this product will work well for you because it will not make your skin oily.  If you are staying in a city with a shoreline, there are chances that this product may not be very effective because of the humidity.

Where can I buy this?: You can buy this at GoodLife. Auravedic also sells its products in Inorbit Mall in Pune, in a small cart. So if you are visiting that mall, keep a lookout for the products.

About the product: A luxurious daily hydrating lotion with pure plant extracts, anti-oxidants and sunscreens to help protect against free radical damage, brighten and even the complexion , leaving it radiant, with a matte finish, all day long ideal for combination/normal to dry, sun damaged & uneven skin tone, discoloration & dark spots.

Ingredients: Kokum butter, Mango butter, Beeswax, Sunflower oil, Amla Extract, Tarmind and Mulberry extract, Jojoba oil.

Note: Product was sent for consideration by the PR. This has not affected my review.

Neat. I actually bought this on Goodlife after I read your review. Would you also review some make up products?

      Pooja,

I very rarely use make up. I own two lipsticks, one compact and one blusher that I needs to be saved by my inquisitive twin boys! I don’t review make up prods at all. There are quite a few bloggers who do though. You can check their blogs.

Ohh… this too! Would you recommend this for oily, ace-prone, sensitive skin?
