IHA Honey Moisturising Soap

With the winter setting in I am ready to battle the winter dryness that affects me. I need to empty bottles of moisturizers to keep my skin soft and supple. But obviously my skin regime changes too. I opt for creamy soaps or body washes that add to the moisturizing factor. I moved to a honey based soap for this winter mainly for the moisturizing properties honey has.

IHA Honey Soap does not work absolute wonders but yes it does manage to moisturize my skin to a great extent. I still need to follow up with a good moisturizer post my bath. One thing I need to add is that the itching that persists with a dry skin has reduced considerably. It has a sweetish fragrance that lingers on for sometime post a bath.

Price and shelf life

This 125gm bar is priced at Rs. 125 and comes with a shelf life of 3 years.

Where can I buy this?

2. Antiseptic propertiesYou can buy this at Flipkart, UrbanTouch and Goodlife. This was one of the products that was sent to me by IHA for a review, so I have not purchased it.

Will I recommend this?

Yes, it is not an expensive buy and it leaves your skin healthy and moisturized. I would say this is more suited for people with normal to combination skin.

Some trivia

Honey is used as a moisturizer in many cosmetic preparations. It not only attracts water but also retains it in the skin, so the skin remains supple and elastic. Honey also helps protect the skin against wrinkles and dryness. This bit of info is something I came across on the web. Mix one teaspoon of honey with one teaspoon vegetable oil and one-fourth teaspoon lemon juice. This mixture is a very natural conditioner, to be rubbed onto every part of your body which is suffering from dry skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse off.
