French Lavender Luxury Shower Gel by Aloe Veda

June 18, 2012 By: Pratibha4 Comments

I have too much of lavender based products tucked away to be used. This is one fragrance that I totally love.  It relaxes me and right from diffuser oils to shampoos and facewashes and bodywashes I like the hint of lavender in all! So much for relaxation 🙂

I bought the French Lavender Luxury Shower Gel by Aloeveda recently. I had a discount voucher with the cashback offer that FirstCry and Goodlife were promoting a few weeks ago. And this was one of the products that I picked up when I was redeeming the voucher. Here is the review on the product.

Aloe Veda French Lavender Luxury Shower Gel

What I liked about the product was the colour, it is a lavender colour that looks really nice and appealing. A lot of my choices are based on the colour of the product. The colour apart, it is not a very runny body wash and you need to use this with a loofah for better results. It has a very strong fragrance of lavender and if you are not a fan of that fragrance, I’d suggest that you don’t buy this.  Oh yes, this product is vegan and has not been tested on animals.
About the product ( on the website)

Luxurious foaming soap-free French Lavender Luxury Shower Gel with Vitamin E that gently cleanses and nourishes your skin. Feel the enchanting continental notes of French Lavender blended with Rosemary caress your body and give your the ultimate healing spa experience. Aloe Vera and Glycerine heal, soothe and hydrates your skin to retain moisture after bath.

Price and Shelf Life : This is a 300 ml bottle priced at Rs. 171 ( original price is 180). It comes with a shelf-life of 3 years from the date of manufacture.

Packaging: This body wash comes in a plastic bottle with a click open and shut lid, which is good because you get to squeeze out the amount you want to use.

To use: Take 4-5 drops of the gel on a wet loofah and scrub thoroughly over the entire body. Leave on for 2-3 minutes and shower.

Where can I buy it? : I bought this from Goodlife. Click here to buy it.

Will I recommend it?: Yes, it is an inexpensive body wash and I quite liked the fragrance that lingers on post its usage. I thought that it was worth a buy! And I need to add here that Aloeveda has some other shower gels as well, which I do plan to try out sometime soon!

Ingredients:  SLES – 46%, Coco-di Ethanolamid – 2%, Coco-Mono-Ethanolamine – 2 %, Kathon – CG, Ethylene Glycol Mono Stearate-, Aloevera gel – 4%, French Lavender Essential Oil and Rosemary Essential oil.

I’m glad I saw this. Was about to pick it up but didn’t. Maybe I will next time. 😀

@ KofyKat: I quite love the fragrance of lavender, but when I opened the lid, I found it to be a bit to strong! But then, I love lavender 🙂
