With Diwali round the corner, its time to get the gifts ready! To be precise, its time to get the list of eco-friendly gifts for Diwali ready. I have seem beautiful crafting posts doing the rounds that do make an excellent gifting option, but for those (read people like me) who are a tad artistically challenged, the best option is to choose eco-friendly gifts for Diwali!

Plus when you choose an eco-friendly gift you ensure that you are not contributing to the land-fill. It is a myth that eco-friendly gifts are expensive, on the contrary, they are not.

The reason why we choose to opt for hand-made eco-friendly gifts is because we do want to be gentler on the earth. While the thought is beautiful, it is also important to keep in mind that you choose a gift that your recipient will love and use. Giving from a place of generosity and care will accomplish both.

There is so much that you can do with skin and hair care hampers! This, to date remains one of my very favourite options. All you need to do is pick an assortment of soaps, shampoos, creams, scrubs and everything that comes under this category and make a hamper. I secretly wish that I would be pampered with such hampers too! So much for wishful thinking! There is so much that you can gift  when you make hampers! I shop from my favourite stores and then gift wrap products in cane baskets or newspaper shopping bags to hand them over to friends and family.

Did you say DIY?

I am a DIY person, when ideas fail, I resort to making something on my own and gifting it. You can check the entire DIY section of my blog and come up with inexpensive, yet fantastic gifts that you can make for your loved ones. Trust me all that you need are a couple of ingredients from your kitchen, an empty jar and a ribbon! And you are done! Oh and you can add some jams, pickles, cakes and potted plants to this list too!
