I recieved two products from Auravedic for a review, Clear Brightness – Sandal Cinnamon Pulpy Face Wash and Auravedic Sun Block Lotion – Amla, Tamarind and Mulberry. I will be reviewing the face-wash today.
Clear Brightness – Sandal Cinnamon Pulpy Face Wash
This is not your regular face-wash. Unlike most washes that are packed in a tube, this pulpy face wash comes packed in a sturdy plastic tub with an anti spill lid. If you are looking for a swanky packaging, you may be quite disappointed. Auravedic is known for its simplistic packaging. But it’s products are excellent. I have used their skin polishes and soaps earlier.
This face-wash looks like thickened honey and you can get a whiff of sandalwood but I could not catch the fragrance of the second ingredient, cinnamon.
You need very little quantity of this face-wash. Take a small amount, wet your face and neck. Apply the face-wash and it lathers a bit. I use tepid water to wash this off and my face does feel softer post washing.
About the product
This perfect brightening face wash is formulated with pure sandal to help you lighten the skin and give it an even skin tone. Leaves the skin clearer, brighter and radiant.
Ingredients
Red sandal extract, cinnamon oil, licorice extract, orange peel extract, turmeric extract, Omega-9 fatty acid, coconut fatty acid, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol.
This product is free of Parabens, SLS harmful chemicals and colours.
Usage
Scoop on to fingertips and gently massage over skin before rinsing it off.
Will I recommend this product?
Certainly. Sandalwood is good for the skin and this face-wash is quite unique with its thick texture. And this product is 100% natural, just like most of Auravedic products are. So go ahead and buy this if you are a fan of natural products. Another important factor is that this face-wash does not dry your skin. So this is definitely positive factor!
Price and shelf-life
This pulpy face wash is priced at Rs. 150 and has a shelf-life of two years.
Tip: With the summer settling in and in this scorching heat it is important to wash your face at least thrice a day and I would recommend this face wash as it is not harsh on the skin and keeps the face soft and clean for a long time. Follow up with a good oil free moisturiser. Also this face-wash does not dry your skin so this is good to use in summers. However, if it has the same effect in winters, then it may not be a suitable product to use in the winter.

It clears your skin with frequent use. I have been using this for over 2 weeks now and I use it at least twice a day and it has cleared up my skin a bit.

This product seems to be out of stock on Goodlife and Natural Mantra, the two sites that store these products. I can check with Auravedic if they can courier the same to you. Alternatively, you can pick this product in Inorbit Mall in Pune. They have a small cart in which they sell their products. It is on the floor that has the Express Haircuts ( which I think is the 1st floor!)
