Prevents Diabetes: Kalonji oil is recommended to manage and prevent diabetes. Take half a teaspoon of the oil in a cup of black tea every morning, and see the difference in a few weeks.
Eases your headaches/ migraines: In this fast paced life, stress leads to headaches. Instead of popping a pill to get relief, apply some kalonji oil on your temples or the entire forehead. If you suffer from migraines, put one drop of kalonji oil in your nostril opposite to the headache area. You can consume half a teaspoon of kalonji oil daily to reduce the intensity of your headaches and migraines.
Better oral care: Got a toothache? Take a glass of warm water and add half a teaspoon of kalonji oil to it. Gargle with this solution thrice a day to reduce the intensity of the ache. You can apply kalonji oil to the affected tooth. Gargling with kalonji oil also removes bad breath.
Reduces stress and hypertension: Stressed or suffer from hypertension? Drink half a teaspoon of kalonji oil with warm water to keep hypertension under control. Consult a doctor and follow a proper diet that keep your hypertension under control.

Skin & Hair Care
For healthy skin: Mix equal quantities of kalonji oil with olive oil. Apply this mix on your face with upward strokes for a few minutes. Leave it on for an hour and wash off with slightly warm water and a soap-free face wash. Rub the face with this mixture and leave it for one hour. Wash with soap and water. Apply this oil to reduce acne and blemishes.
Reduce hair loss & premature greying: Scrub the scalp thoroughly with a lemon and leave it for 15 minutes. Shampoo your hair with a chemical free shampoo & dry thoroughly. Apply kalonji oil to the scalp and let it stay for 2 hours. Wash off with a SLS free shampoo and follow up with a conditioner if your hair is too dry. Repeat this for a week to reduce the intensity of the hair fall.
Note: This is one of the age old remedies that is used to stop hair-fall. If hair-fall persists, it is best to meet a doctor who can guide you for the treatment needed.
Get rid of dandruff: Make a mix of 10 gms of kalonji oil, 30 gms of olive oil and 30 gms of mehendi powder. Heat for a while & apply on the scalp after the paste cools down. Rinse well with a soap free shampoo after an hour. Repeat this at least twice a week for best results.
For smoother feet and hands: Apply pure kalonji oil on the cracked soles and on your hands to promote softer hands and soles. The oil has a strong fragrance, so wash your hands after an hour of application.
Make your own face mask: Mix half a teaspoon of kalonji oil with organic honey. Apply this on the face and neck and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water. You will not need a moisturiser unless you have very dry skin.
