I’ve had a stressful two weeks being out action thanks to the acute sinus that led to typhoid. I’m getting better, but I know that it will be at least a month till I am back in action completely. With the constant body aches and pains, I was just waiting to get better and indulge in a body massage that would completely relax me. A week later I received a mail from the marketing team of Four Fountain Spa inviting me to review their services. When you wish for something from the bottom of your heart, you get it!
I have never had the time to indulge in a body massage post the delivery of the boys and calculating my pregnancy time too, I was indulging in a body massage after more than 5 years.
Reviewing Four Fountains Spa
I reached the spa on time and chose the full body massage for an hour. Honestly, I would have loved it if the staff took out some time to actually understand the type of massage that would actually suit me and not just give me the list of massages that I could avail. There should have been some kind of consultancy to understand my lifestyle and then recommend a massage accordingly.
Knowing that I wanted to get rid of those aches and pains and feel rejuvenated, I chose the Swedish Massage with Wintergreen Oil which I had already read about on the internet. The room was relaxing and dimly lit. They offer disposable underclothing which is very hygienic. I love aromas and the fact that there was a diffuser burning in the room made me relax and unwind, yes you know that I am a big fan of aromas!
My feet were first cleaned with a warm wash cloth and the massage started. All through the duration of the massage I was covered with a disposable sheet and only the body part that was being massaged was exposed. It started with the back massage that was relaxing and I felt the tension ease and I was actually more relaxed. I could smell camphor in the oil that was being used for the massage . The only thing I would like to point out is that towards the end of the massage, the oil used was not as warm as it was at the start. Overall, the massage was absolutely refreshing and relaxing!
Cleanliness was an issue, there was hair in the bathroom and I suspect that the bathroom had not been cleaned which is a big unhygienic factor anywhere. This wasn’t expected from a spa of this repute. I am expecting that this is a one off instance and it does not happen again, because I have been reading some fab reviews from other bloggers as well.
If you are from Pune, head over to Aundh to avail the fab services that Four Fountains Spa has to offer in this city.
