Whoosh Shower Jelly by Lush

April 12, 2013 By: Pratibha2 Comments

Lush_WhooshI’ve used both the Shower jellies that Lush has; Sweetie Pie and Whoosh. The fragrance of Whoosh is superbly refreshing. And with the scorching summers this is one of better options to use as a body wash because it leaves you smelling awesome for hours. The fragrance is very citrusy and refreshing. Though this shower jelly has Rosemary listed as one of the ingredients, I can’t smell it. What I do smell is a very heady fragrance of lemons and oranges.

It lathers really well and gives you the feeling that you are squeaky clean which is the perfect feeling that you need to have in a summer. It dries out the skin in winter but not so in the summer. Use this in the mornings to feel absolutely refreshed and rejuvenated.

Lush_Whoosh2The drawback of this shower jelly is that it keeps on slipping out of the hand and  fall on the bath floor. When this happens multiple times, it causes the jelly to break. It is not very convenient to use it once it has broken. However, I did find a workaround this too. Take the broken part and put it on your bath glove and use it as a soap. It will lather. It will not work on a loofah. Another thing is that if you dunk in the tub the incorrect way and close the tub, the shower jelly will break. So you have to be super careful.

Price and Shelf life

This 100 gm shower jelly is priced at INR 410 and should have a shelf life of 14 months. You can buy this at Lush India online store or just walk into one of the lush store near you. I am not aware of of any other e-retailer who stocks this. If you do, please let me know, so that I can update this section.

Lush_Whoosh3Lush Tip: Try freezing (or chilling) the shower jellies for an especially cool, refreshing shower or bath experience. Shower jellies also make great shampoos and add lots of softness and shine to hair.

Will I recommend this?

I won’t indulge in a repurchase because it is not natural. But if you have no qualms about using a product that has SLS and Parabens, I’d say give it a try. It is an excellent showergel to pep you up and get ready to tackle the day!

Yes the fragrance is totally refreshing, Perfect for the summer. Have you tried to use it as a shampoo? I loved the colour and fragrance of Sweety Pie too.
