Yes, I have fallen for this yet again. This strictly a note to myself to actually stop buying stuff online. I need to first visit the physical shop and check the ingredients before I make that plunge. The product I am referring to is the Turmeric and Apricot Gentle Scrub by Aroma Treasures.
I checked and double checked most of the sites that were selling this item and all of them listed the incomplete ingredients list. This product is not free of parabens. That was good enough to make me dislike the product! Keeping that dislike aside, let me review this product.
Turmeric and Apricot Gentle Scrub by Aroma Treasures
This is a creamy based scrub that has a very faint fragrance. It comes in a tub packaging and I find this packaging the best for scrubs because you just need to dip your finger to take out the quantity of scrub that you require. It has a very creamy texture to it, it is almost like a moisturising cream with apricot shells in it that help you exfoliate the skin. Since it is creamy it bound to leave your skin slightly moisturised post the usage. Since I have a combination skin, I did not find a need to follow it up with a moisturiser post its usage. Though it is not mentioned on the tub, the takeaway would be this is not suitable for people with oily skin.
I also faced very minor irritation when I used it the first time, but this irritation did not occur the consequent times I used the product. The packaging is not a fancy one, the tub it has been packed in comes with an anti spill lid.
The product is priced Rs. 195 for a 50 gm jar and it has a shelf life of two years from the date of manufacture.
Where did buy this from?
I got this from Violet Bag , but this is also available at Flipkart and Goodlife. Aroma Treasures does have their own website, but they neither sell through the site nor does the site have a complete list of the products and its ingredients.
How to use:
Wet face and neck before use.Apply the scrub & massage well in circulatory movement. Wash off after few minutes. Use daily for better results.
No. I would not invest in something that is not paraben free. I wish, I really wish that companies that make claims of their products being natural listed all the ingredients that go into the product so that we, as consumers can make informed choices.
