For those who know me and follow my blog are very well aware that I like to make my own scrubs. I don’t like to stock the scrubs, instead I make something that catches my fancy and make it enough for just about two uses or so. So then why am I reviewing a ready made scrub? For a very simple reason that on those days when I am super lazy and don’t feel like making something for myself, I need to rely on a product that will protect my feet. And here it is, the Walnut-Mint Foot Scrub by The Nature’s Co, a product that comes as a life saver for me.
If you are looking at a product that gives your feet an immediate makeover, then this has to be the one. The Walnut Mint scrub is from the Earthborne collection.
Priced at INR 425, this 125gm scrub is packaged in a flip cap tube and has a shelf life on 18 months. I think it is priced on the higher side and I use it sparingly so this has lasted a good 6 months. If you use it as frequently as twice a week then this is likely to last more than a month.
The first thing that I noticed about this scrub was the fragrance. It does not have an overpowering mint fragrance and yet it is light enough to linger on for a while. It has a creamy texture and spreads pretty easily. It leaves a nice tingling sensation on your feet, thanks to the mint in the scrub. I have always been a fan of peppermint and I have the peppermint essential oil tucked away in my shelf for various uses. In fact it is good enough for you to massage your feet with. The granules are really small and the texture is very similar to the St.Ives Walnut scrub (a scrub that all of us would have tried at some point of time, because that was the only scrub available at least a decade ago! ) but a little creamy and not as thick as the St.Ives scrub. When you use the Walnut and mint scrub, do massage it for a while on your feet for a complete relaxation.
I take a generous amount and massage my feet with the scrub for at least 3-5 minutes. I like a good massage, it helps me get rid of the fatigue and that is why I prefer to use this scrub at nights, so that I can feel relaxed. Since it is creamy, it leaves the skin moisturised. You do not require to apply a moisturiser post a wash if used in the daytime, but since I use it at nights, I follow up with a foot oil or a cream so that my feet are hydrated and I can wake up with super soft feet! Now the product on the website says that it works awesomely on chapped feet too, but sadly it did nothing to get rid of my chapped feet, so that was a let down.
Ingredients: The scrub has peppermint Oil ,Pepermint Extract,Walnut Grits, Neem Extract,Kokum Butter.
Verdict: The Walnut-Mint Foot scrub by The Nature’s Co is your very best friend on those days when you want to clean your feet thoroughly! And did I mention that it makes a nice hand scrub too?

Sounds gorgeous. We use so many foot scrubs mainly lime and ginger. Could you post a recipee for a berry scrub?

Hi Pratibha
Lovely review!
I just wanted to know if the natures co products are sls, peg parabens etc. Free or not. Im highly intolerant to chemicals specially sls. I develop crazy boils all over my scalp and body. If it does then can you recommend brand that dont have these chemicals? Apart from omved and rustic art.
Thanks in advance!

Megha,
Sorry about the late reply. TNC’s products are free from all sort of chemicals- parabens, synthetics but they do claim to add a very small quantity (negligible) of SLS only in their shampoos, body wash and face wash only to help boost the primary natural surfactant’s foaming power. The walnut-mint foot scrub is free from SLS.
Trust this helps!
