Rustic Art – Organic Hair Oil

October 22, 2012 By: Pratibha18 Comments

hair-oilThere is something therapeutic about a head massage. With the onset of winter, I have an issue of dry dandruff that makes my scalp very itchy. I like to indulge in warm head massages that not only relaxes  me but also keeps my hair healthy. I typically leave the hair oil for at least 12 hours post application. My quest for a good hair oil led me to the Organic Hair Oil from Rustic Art.  This is another brand that has not yet let me down.  Right from the soaps to the baby oil, the hair oil and shampoos, I am yet to be disappointed with a product from Rustic Art.

Shelf Life and Cost

This 200 ml bottle of organic oil costs Rs. 290 and has a shelf life of 18 months.

Packaging

This oil is packed in a snap open lid type of a bottle that makes it easy to pour the amount of oil that is required. I am not sure if this is a travel friendly pack though.

Where can I buy this?

I bought one from Natural Mantra. Click here to buy it. Natural Mantra is a website that stocks all natural and organic products that are good for those who are ready to opt for a natural living. If you want to buy any of the Rustic Art products from Natural Mantra, use this coupon to get an additional discount: PRATNM10. Click here to login to Natural Mantra

Will I recommend this?

oilYes. I will. This organic hair oil is packed with loads of awesomeness. I’ve listed the ingredients below, but let me just list out some quick benefits that will let you know why this oil is awesome:

Sesame oil : Highly effective in treating fry hair and a regular helps you get rid of the dryness and flakiness. Sesame oil also helps promote hair growth.

Coconut oil and fenugreek seeds: Haven’t we all heated  coconut oil and added a couple of methi ( fenugreek) seeds that helped us nourish our hair? Need I say more?

Hibiscus and Henna: These are known to be good hair conditioners too.

Neem and Tulsi: Effective for battling dandruff.

Will I buy this again?

Yes, of course. I have noticed a reduction in the dry dandruff that typically sets in at the start of the winter. I am sure it won’t vanish completely, but with the regular use of this hair oil, I am expecting quite a bit of reduction in the dandruff. This has also helped in reducing my hair fall. I use this hair oil at least twice a week. I typically like to warm the hair oil before application because it is very relaxing and you can warm this oil too before application. Swati, from Rustic Art confirmed this to me.

Thanks Pratibha for the wonderful post. I have tried this myself and we LOVE it. The beauty is that you need so little. Just a few drops and it’s very potent. Very beautifully written post 🙂 Keep them coming.

I have started using this since 2 weeks and the fact that it is so soothing and is required in lesser amounts while applying, makes sure I buy it another time. To talk of the effects, I stay in a dry city but I never have a dry hair day, till 2 days post shampoo. 🙂 Try it. It is totally worth it!

Its been about a month and a half since I have started using this and yes, I need to agree that it is really relaxing! try the Herbal Shampoo by Rustic Art post the wash, it really helps your hair. The only thing is that you might need a conditioner post the shampoo!

Yeah, I use the conditioner too. 🙂 The total effect, you may agree, comes with using the oil-shampoo-conditioner combo. I was using the Rustic Art Aloe shampoo earlier and it did not disappoint me, though this also demands conditioning post shampoo.

    Hi Pratibha,

Thanks for this awesome post. I ordered this oil after reading your post. I was having severe hair fall, dry and itchy scalp. Its been 2 weeks since i am using it and the results are unbelievable.. I almost don’t have. any hair fall now . My mom used to make similar hair oil at home until 2 years ago.. I don’t have to trouble her anymore 🙂 The oil has such a natural fragrance. I follow it up with Soultree shampoo which doesn’t require a post conditioner.
