Rustic Art has recently launched their new product – lip moisturizers!! I love lip balms. Alright, love is an understatement let me put it this way, I am addicted to them.I have one in my purse , one next to my laptop, one in my pocket, get the drift? I was actually hoping to review the Figgs and Rouge that came with the Vellvette box this month, but then I received the Rustic Art lip moisturizer and I was thrilled to bits! So Figgs and Rouge takes a backseat as I get down to review a product from one of my fav brands.
Rustic Art is one of the brands that I totally trust in. I can buy any product from them without ever having to think twice. They have launched a series of lip moisturizers in mint, strawberry, orange, grape and rose fragrances. I opted for the rose variant because I have never used a rose lip balm till now.
And I must tell you that I am really happy with my decision. This lip moisturizer is absolutely refreshing. Even though I am not a very big fan of rose, I love the lingering fragrance this leaves for quite a while. It keeps my lips hydrated for at least 3 – 4 hours. It has this very slight tingling sensation when you apply it and the tingling sensation lasts for a few minutes. What surprised me was the colour of the product, I was expecting it to be pink in colour, but it is a bright orange colour that makes it look very citrusy.
Price and shelf life
Priced at INR 320, this 8 gm lip moisturizer has a shelf life of 18 months. This comes in a teeny jar with a screw cap lip. This packaging is the best and hygienic for lip balms because it makes it easy for me to take out the quantity I want. I am not a fan of the tube lip balms.

It is available on Shopo. However, if you stay in Pune, you are absolutely lucky, because you can find this at the Either Or store near Jehangir Hospital.
How to use
Apply a bit on the forefinger and glide it on your lips. This should work as an excellent base on your lips before you apply a lipstick. I always apply a thin layer of a balm before I apply a lipstick to keep my lips hydrated for a long time.
Will I repurchase?
Yes, but not the rose, maybe the grape variant! I’d add that this lip moisturizer is must have for those who have dry lips. This one keeps my lips hydrated for at least 3-4 hours at a stretch. With the summers setting and proving to be a bit harsh this year, do invest in one to save the lips. A tad expensive yes, but it is worth the money. So go ahead and splurge 🙂

Hello ! 🙂 Nice review ! I was planning to buy a tub lip balm . Could you suggest which one is better – Rustic Art’s lip balm or Omved’s cinnamon lip balm ?
I love the ground spice aroma from the Omved lip balm and the Rustic Art is a very girly girly fragrance. Both are equally good! Pick one of each to have a variety!
