Rose Almond Saffron Face Polish by Auravedic

April 29, 2013 By: Pratibha6 Comments

Rose skin PolishSkin polishes are a good and gentle ways to exfoliate the dead skin on your face. While I do make a lot of body scrubs at home, I have never experimented with making a face scrub or polish because I know the face needs something gentler and milder. I can’t seem to get the mix right, so I end up using them as body scrubs.

I have used the Amla Tamarind body polish earlier and was really happy with it and I decided to use this variant. I love the colour and the fragrance of this skin polish. It smells heavenly without being very overpowering. the fragrance of roses sometimes can be very overpowering.

I found this to be a lot more creamy in comparison to the Amla and tamrind Skin polish. The granules are quite fine and the skin polish is nice and creamy so it spreads well. You don’t need to much of the polish. Just take about half a teaspoon and massage on a wet face for about 2 minutes. I had massaged it gently for minutes and left it on for about a minute  on the wet skin before I washed it off.

Rose skin Polish1Price, Shelf life and Availability

This products comes in two sizes – 50 gms and 100 gms. The former is priced at INR 180 and the 100 gm is priced at INR 300. It has a shelf life of two years and is available on Natural Mantra, Goodlife, Pepperfry Flipkart and Purplle.

How to use it?

Scoop on to fingertips and gently massage over moist skin. Leave polish on skin for a few minutes before gently wiping it off with a cotton ball. Can wash off if required. It is packed in a small plastic tub with a protective lid that helps avoid any spilling of the product.  It makes it easy to scoop put the skin polish from the tub. Just ensure that the fingers are dry when you scoop out the skin polish.

Will I recommend it ?

Not for summers! I have a combination skin and this left my skin very moisturised post a wash. I will keep this for the winter when the skin can do with the moisturiser that this polish has. This one is certainly not for the oily skin even though the packaging says that it is for all skin types. Maybe the dry skin type can use this all year round.

      Raji,

I have a combination skin and this product left my skin a bit oily post the application, so this is definitely not a summer product to use. It will be more apt for winters.
If you have a dry skin try it but pick up the smaller jar so that yo can try it out first.
If you are looking at something for a daily use, can I recommend the Omved All skin type Ubtan that is suitable for all skin types : http://omvedstore.in/products/1644-all-skin-types-ubtan.aspx
It has certainly helped clear my skin to a great extent,

I have already bought this face polish 🙁 And mine is also a combination skin… I will definitely add this ubtan to my shopping list.. Anyways the Rustic Art baby oil and soap you suggested are great…

I am also looking for a good organic face cream for daily use which will even my uneven skin tone and help in adding a little glow… I hope you have some suggestions…

Again I use the protective face moisturiser from Omved which has worked really well. I have read some rave reviews about the Rustic Art facial glow skin but i have not gotten around using it as yet.
