Reviewing KuKucrate – The September Box

October 1, 2013 By: Pratibha4 Comments

KuKucrate september boxKuKucrate is a box that is filled with crafts and activities that is guaranteed to keep your little one busy for a while at least! The last time I reviewed a Kukucrate was way back in May and the subsequent boxes would not have interested my boys so I never got about subscribing them. After a pretty long wait, the September KuKucrate box looked fun and interesting and since I had also gathered some points with the affiliate links I decided to go ahead and pick it up  for the boys. After being held up in the courier office for almost a week, I finally received the box towards the end of September. No, I have never faced a delay with the services and this month seemed to be an exception.

KuKucrate detailsWhat was in the September box?

It was all about the stars and moon! Up above the world so high, was what the box was called and it came with 4 crafts. It was a theme for things that things that are far away in the sky! And this was what was in the box:

  • Phases of the moon: Cut outs that you need to paste on the black paper.
  • Create a  Constellation: This task was to draw a constellation with the help of small white dots and pins, since I did not want the boys touching the pins, we turned it into a star and moon frame that you see on the right.
  • Alien in UFO: A set of plates, silver foil and knick knacks that allowed you to create your own UFO and the creepy aliens! This is what the boys loved the most!
  • Solar System : Sticks and thermocol balls that need to be painted and attached to depict the solar system. Since this had an increased level of messiness, I kept  it aside for the weekend. The post will be updated with the pics.

Reviewing KuKucrateWe are done with 3 and are yet to do one, because that one was the most complicated. We created a UFO, a small stars and moon frame that the boys hung in their room and the phases of the moon chart.  Each of these activities are accompanied with leaflets that provide a step by step instruction and trivia that is fun to know.

Will I recommend this?

Yes, if you are looking at ways to keep your little one busy, this is a fun craft box! I don’t prefer the 3 month subscription because sometimes the themes may be something that my boys would not like. I prefer to watch out for the themes every month and purchase the box. I have very fussy kids and I would rather invest in something that will interest my boys.

Priced at INR 990 for a month,  these craft boxes are really nice and creative for various types of developmental skills for your child. Click here to book a KukuCrate box for your child now! 3 month and 6 month subscriptions are cheaper, but I prefer buying something that my boys will like, so I buy individual boxes.
