One of the other Lush products that the better half got for me was Ocean Salt by Lush. This is essentially a face scrub and a scrub is something that I use all through the year. Of course, I change the scrub according to the season. I’ve never used a scrub by Lush, so this was something I was looking forward to. And let me tell you at the start that this is a product that contains parabens.
Ocean Salt
Since the better half is not so aware of the parabens and its likes, I excuse him for buying this one! This is a scrub that is infused with lime, coconut, grapefruit, sea salt in a vodka based fruity scrub. Yep, you read that right, Vodka in the scrub. I expected a heady fragrance since it had vodka but it had a very tangy fragrance to it. I love the streaks of blue in the scrub, it looks so beautiful that you may almost want to scoop it out and eat it.
The sea salt acts like a scrub and totally refreshes and rejuvenates your skin. The only drawback I thought was that the sea salt melted a bit too quickly leaving the scrub experience short-lived. I hardly massaged the face for a couple of seconds and the scrub was gone. So if you are looking for a scrub that lasts all through the time you massage your face, then please avoid this.
Price and shelf life
This comes in two sizes a small and a large jar. The 100 gm jar costs about $20. Wow, that is expensive. The 250gm jar is for Rs. 1660. The shelf life is mentioned on the tub.

Will I recommend this?
I quite liked this and it left my face quite clean. The only thing is that I found it to be on the expensive side. This also doubles up as a body scrub, but I would rather save it to use only as a face scrub. I’d park this as a scrub to use in the summers because it leaves your skin a bit dry. This is certainly not for the winters and monsoons. And also if you have breakouts in the skin, please do not use it as it can sting really badly.

Ocean Salt is like taking your face on a trip to the seaside for an invigorating splash in the water, then cleansing and refreshing it with lemon, grapefruit and lime juices. Fresh avocado moisturizes and softens the skin, while violet leaf absolute calms and nurtures.
How to use
Splash water on your face and apply about a teaspoonful of scrub using an upward, circular motion to exfoliate and refresh the skin. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and pat dry. Ocean Salt can also be used on other parts of the body including chest, back, arms and legs.
