I have used products from Nirvaaha earlier and when I was sent one of the latest additions – the Face Scrub for a review, I was more than thrilled. Like most Nirvaaha skin and hair care products that I have used, this scrub also is in a dry powder form. I find this a non messy alternative because I get to use the exact quantity I want.
Nirvaaha Face Scrub
This scrub is packed with the goodness of almonds, mustard, rose, nagarmotha, rubia crdifoilia and lemon. The skin type has not been mentioned on the pack so I am assuming that it is for all skin types. I have a combination skin that borders on getting oily in the summer and this one worked really well to keep the oiliness at bay. Since it dries out the excess oils, it leaves your skin looking really soft and clean. I am not sure about how this one would fare for people with dry skin though.
Product Availability and Shelf Life
This product comes with a two year shelf life and is priced at INR 190 for 40 gms. This tub can last upto a month or more depending on how frequently you can use it. I used less than quarter a teaspoon each time I washed my face. Do you see the quantity in the spoon? That was the amount of scrub that I used to wash my face. You can buy this from shophealthy and greenokplease.
Directions for use
Wet your face and apply this mix. Scrub gently and rinse with cold water. You don’t need to follow this up with a regular face wash, I found it better to mix with a bit of water and then use it as a scrub. I also made a thin paste with water and applied it like a mask, allowed it to dry and then wet it and scrubbed gently. This product is good enough to be used daily. This scrub can be used by men and women.
Do I recommend this?
Yes of course! But don’t expect fantastic results in the first wash. Use this for at least a week continuously to see the results it gets on your skin. The scrub is very mild which is a plus point. Lemon helps to control the oil secretion and almond and rose helps to moisturise the skin.

Nice and exiting but I would request you to review The Body Shop’s products as well. I found them awesome and love the whole range of products.

I have used very few prods from TBS. They seem to have a limited range of paraben and SLS free products. I have used only the hair oil and the shampoo from the same range .
