MSM Express Box October 2015

After months of not buying any of the beauty boxes, I came across this box- My Style Mile a.k.a MSM and I subscribed for it. The theme was a Rose box which I wasn’t aware of, but I have to say that I quite liked the box.

Yes, sometimes I do succumb to ordering for a beauty box just for the heck of it! It is the sheer thrill of opening the box and wondering what I would get is something that excites me and I get over it as fast as I yearn for it! So this month, I chose the MSM box. I have been reading a few good reviews and since this was a relatively new box in the market, I guessed that they would have a better range of products. So I got the birthday special one – MSM Express Box October 2015.

What was in the box?

1. Innisfree rose sheet mask – Rs.100
2. Natural bath & body rose &almond bathing bar – Rs.175
3. Saante luxurious rose lip balm – Rs.250
4. Saante rose & sandalwood candle – Rs.245
5. Saante orange essential oil – Rs. 300
6. H20 Face Oasis toner – The bonus product

I picked up loads of face masks from my recent trip abroad, so the Innisfree Rose Sheet Mask just adds to the pile of face masks. I have used Natural Bath and Body years ago and honestly I thought that the brand no longer existed till the soap resurfaced in the box.  Saante is a new brand that I have not tried as yet. I love essential oils and this one is added to my stock of oils and the lip balm came at the right time for the winter. I am not sure about the toner though because I don’t use it.

The overall price of the contents of the box, since a majority of them were full-sized products is roughly around 1k +. Not bad when you pay about INR 495. They also have a concept called #PowerToChoose that allows a user to choose what they would like in the MSMS Box. All that they need to do is add products of their choice worth INR 1500 and use the code MSMXII to get the customized MSM box with INR 500/- off + 1 surprise product + free shipping. Sounds good but what’s the fun if I know whats in the box and more importantly, the product list wasn’t that interesting so I will give this a skip.

So much for the lure of the beauty box! I am waiting to see if there are any interesting boxes for Diwali that is just around the corner.
