Khadi Herbal Face Scrub with Sandal and Papaya

My first association of Khadi products is Fab India. I distinctly remember them being sold at select outlets. I remember using some soaps from them and I actually have not seen them sold elsewhere, till I spotted them on Goodlife. Reviving some old memories, I decided to give some products a try and I bought the Khadi Herbal Face Scrub with Sandal and Papaya.

It has a creamy texture to it and post cleansing, it leaves your face moisturized. This is a plus point only for the winters. I am not sure how this would be in the summer, because if it did leave the skin moisturized, it would make your skin oily. I would not recommend this for daily use. Twice a week should suffice.

The walnut granules help in the exfoliating your skin and getting rid of the dead cells. The fragrance that is predominant in this scrub is that of rose, as much as I tried, I could not get a whiff of either sandalwood or the papaya.

You will need to scoop out about half a teaspoon of the scrub for use. Post usage, your skin does feel nice and clean. Just be careful to use the scrub carefully and use the fingertips to massage on your face. What I sometimes do is mix a bit of rose water to it and use it as a body scrub too.

Price and Shelf life

This 50 gms scrub is packed in a steel container and is priced at INR 100. This has a shelf life of two years. It comes packed in a steel tin that makes it a very unique packing and I quite like it because it is also a very travel friendly packaging.

Will I recommend this?

To people with dry/normal and combination skin – yes. To people with oily skin – no, because it tends to moisturize your skin. Again, I need to repeat here that I am using this product in this season so it is leaving my face moisturized and I have a combination skin. I am not sure if the product will be as wonderful as it in now in the summer season.
