When you talk of solid shampoos, nothing is as good as the variety from Lush. The only drawback, the shampoos have SLS. I’ve used quite a few of the solid shampoos by Lush, and till date, my most favourite one is Jumping Juniper.
Jumping Juniper by Lush
I’d only heard about solid shampoos from Lush, the first time I used one must have been about five years ago. My husband had picked it for me from one of his visits to London. And ever since I have been quite hooked on to this one. One warning right up, this contains SLS. Most of the products from Lush do. This shampoo is very well suited for people with oily hair. This is one of the very few products that I still like despite the fact that it has SLS in it.
I’ve tried a solid shampoo from Soulflower too, but I must say that the experience was really disappointing. I am yet to come across a solid shampoo that matches the quality of Lush.
This one is my summer shampoo because summer makes my hair greasy and dirty. Jumping Juniper cleans my hair really well and I shampoo my hair every alternate day on summers so I have never had an issue with greasy hair. I’d recommend the use of a conditioner with the shampoo. I use the Jungle conditioner by Lush.
I love the fragrance of this one, it has a very mild lavender fragrance that leaves just a hint of that fragrance. Not very overpowering, which is a good thing. This is a plus point for me. I am not very fond of shampoos that leave a strong fragrance.
Price and shelf life
This 60 gm bar cost Rs.570 and has a shelf life of just about a year.
Where can I buy this?
I am yet to come across this product sold online. I have always got this from London.
Will I recommend this?
Yes, this is a boon for oily hair. There are a lot of other natural shampoos available in the market for oily hair, so if you would want something natural, then opt for a natural shampoo.
How to use
Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the shampoo bar down the length of your hair about three times (right, left and back). Work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Follow with LUSH conditioner if needed. Keep your solid shampoo in a cool, dry place between uses; we recommend using a LUSH shampoo bar tin.
