Do you have a regime for hand and foot care? I’m talking about the part that we completely miss, unless we walk into a salon for hand and foot care. The only thing that I do often is soak my feet in a pail of hot water to relax those tired feet. Keeping in mind that our feet carry the whole weight of our body and our hands do all the work, we need to take that extra care for them.
Juicy Chemistry Product Reviews
I was running out of my stock of my foot soak and body scrubs when Juicy Chemistry decided to send over some of their products for a review. And luckily for me it turned out to be a foot soak, body scrub and a hand & foot cream, something that I needed. It’s been a fortnight since I have been using these products, so let me do a very quick review about these products.
Rosemary & Mint Foot Soak
Feet are the most neglected part of the body. Apart from the pedicure that most of us indulge in, there really isn’t much that you do for your feet. I am the typical soak the feet in hot water person. I love to do this at least once a fortnight, when the kids are away and there is no one to disturb me. I make my own concoctions with salts and essential oils. So when I was sent this foot soak, I was happy to pamper my feet.
All that you need is a bucket of hot water ( as hot as you can take it!) and a generous heaped spoon full of this wonderful soak that has an invigorating fragrance. I love mint, there is something very healing about that fragrance. There are bits of dried rosemary that is anti-bacterial in nature. The salts help to draw out the toxins and act as a wonderful exfoliant too. The product claims that the baking soda brightens the skin which honestly did not work me. That apart, the product is something I would recommend a re-buy as well. Did I mention that my boys loved its smell when I did a pedicure for them?
Verdict: A winner of a product for me.
Green tea and Peppermint Body Scrub
I love body scrubs and when I saw this one I knew that I had to try this one soon. Infused with the fragrance of mint that I really love, the body scrub also has green tea, epsom salts and sugars in it along with virgin olive oil and jojoba oil that helps to moisturise the body. I used this thrice and I have a combination skin, I didn’t find it to be very moisturising. The texture of the scrub was slightly harsh, but not rough enough to hurt the skin. Since it dissolves really fast, you’ll have to massage it all over your body quickly to slough away the dead skin. The fragrance doesn’t stay for long which is a plus point. I would not recommend this for a daily use. Once a week would be safe to use and if you have dry skin, avoid this one and choose something that would be moisturizing.
Verdict: Not on the re-buy list for me, but good to use at least once.
Kokum and Myrrh Butter for hands and feet
I started using this hand and foot cream almost a fortnight ago. With the seasons changing, my feet tend to get dry and I need something hydrating. Packed with healing body butters, it helps to lock in the moisture in your hands and feet. The very faint fragrance of lavender helps to soothe and relax the sore muscles. Take a bit of this intense moisturiser and warm it a bit between the palms before applying it. It spreads smoothly. I’d recommend using this at night when you are resting for the butters to soak in your skin.
Verdict: Another winner! Must buy for those who have dry skin.
Pricing and Availability
The products from Juicy Chemistry are not over-priced at all. They are pretty affordable. If you stopped by their online store, you’ll see that they have a pretty exhaustive list that is sorted according to requirements, fragrance and skin type. And they have a kiddie range too which got me really excited but was sad to see that there were no soaps, body washes or moisturizers for them. I hope that they make them soon!
Next on my agenda is the face scrubs, soaps, EO’s, oatmeal scrubs and the face mists. I’ve never shopped for a face mist because I make my own! And yes the pain relief ones too because I am yet to get that right product that keeps my headaches at bay!
That was wrapping up about haul from Juicy Chemistry. Have you used products from them? Which one is your fav? Drop a comment and do let me know!
