Growing up as an army kid, it was a nomadic life. I have vivid memories of the schools I attended and who my neighbors were. The earliest people I recall are from age six. And that was the time when you could not be in touch as we can today. It was the time of letters or a phone call if you were lucky, and as months passed by and you moved places, sometimes you lost touch.
A quick google or Facebook search does give me results, but I have no clue if it’s actually them or someone else with the same name. And I miss having them in my life sometimes, and I wonder if they think of me the same way that I do. A few years ago, when Facebook had just gotten popular, I searched for a friend from my fourth grade. Not only did we get back in touch, but we also met a few times until she moved to a different country.
Good friends and family can support you in tough times, help you beat stress, and make you lead a content life. When you have supportive relationships, which helps you build a strong foundation for life. Friends can provide emotional support during difficult times. They can be there to listen, offer advice, or simply be a shoulder to cry on. Having someone to share your problems and joys with can make a huge difference in your life.
