How to feel the joy in life

Do you wake up sometimes exhausted and disgruntled with life? Nothing seems to be going your way. Life is like that. Incredible in many ways. It shows us the ups and downs, the twists and turns, and sometimes throws the most unexpected surprises our way. And to feel the joy in such scenarios can be a tad difficult. Right?

The thing about life is that it can be exhilarating and fulfilling despite the challenges it throws at us. It is normal for us to face setbacks and adversities, but the fact that we can choose to find joy and happiness is what sets us apart.

Feel the joy in each and every moment. Don’t miss the small joys waiting for the big ones.

In this blog post, let us look at ways to help you feel joy every day. These simple and doable tips can let you look at the positive things in life.  So, sit back, brew yourself a cup of coffee or tea, relax, and let’s dive in.

 Five ways feel the joy in life

To be able to feel joy is an essential part of a healthy and happy life. Studies show that being joyful and happy is directly related to a healthy you. Despite the busy and hectic schedules we may have in our lives, it is important to do things every single day that fills us with joy. Here are some tips that can help you get started.

1. Start and end your day with gratitude: Take a few minutes every morning and night to list three things that you are grateful for. When you focus on gratitude, it rewires your brain to see the positive things in your life.

2. Indulge in self-care: From eating healthy to exercising for at least an hour a day are all ways of caring for your body. Even a simple act of a massage or pampering yourself with your favorite skin or hair care product equals to self-care.

3. Practice mindfulness: Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment. Take a few minutes every day to focus on your breath and allow yourself to be fully present. Choose to meditate at this time or visualize what you want to do in life.

4. Take out time for yourself every day: Often, we put the needs of others over ours. When we give too much, it can be draining. So, whether it is unwinding with your favorite book, or pursuing a hobby, set aside time for yourself every day.

5. Let go of negativity: Holding onto grudges or negative thoughts can weigh you down and prevent you from experiencing joy. Practice forgiveness and let go of negativity in your life.

Wrapping up

Life can feel like a never-ending cycle of work and responsibilities. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind and forget to take a moment to appreciate the small things that bring us joy.     How very true Pratibha, one of my non-negotiable rules is no disturbance during exercise time, I think it makes a difference at how I approach my day
