A few days ago, I woke up at 3 am. As much as I tried, I could not sleep, and eventually, it was time for me to get into my routine. Just before I did get into the routine, I brewed a cup of coffee and chose to spend some moments on the balcony. I was listening to birds chirping and watching the horizon in front of me get brighter. It was a beautiful sight, and I made a note to wake up a bit early once in a while and enjoy such moments again. I had a pretty productive day. The thing is, beauty is everywhere, and we need to stop a bit every day to admire it. There is something magical when you learn to embrace the beauty of life.
That day, before I chose to brew the coffee, I asked myself, “Why was I hurrying?” I had no answer.
Embrace the beauty of life.
There will be moments in our lives when we will have no answer, just like I did. We are so taken in by how we spend our lives that we often ignore life’s beauty.
Slow down. Life is not a mad rush. Slow down to when your body tells you to. Take that walk, spend time with nature, unwind with a relaxing bath, or read a book.
Let go of the past. The energy we attract in life is directly proportionate to the energy we emit. If we exude positive thoughts and emotions, we will find ourselves more fulfilled and content. It pays to let go of what doesn’t spark joy in us anymore.
Be present in the moment. By doing so, we give ourselves the greatest gift of all — the gift of being open to the wonderful world surrounding us.
Appreciate the little things. We are often so distracted by the main goal we want to accomplish that we forget to enjoy the little wins that got us to the main goal.
Stop to smell the flowers, both metaphorically and literally. Keep your eyes and ears open; it lets you tap on things you otherwise would not see. When did you last put away your device and listen to what someone was saying? Being present will help you build better relationships.
Take the time to see and appreciate the beautiful world that exists around us. Every single day is full of fragments that we can appreciate and cherish. What are some of your ways to enjoy the beauty of life? Share it with me in the comments.

Every single day is full of fragments that we can appreciate and cherish – this is so so true and working from home has made me learn this skill.

agree with all your points. I try to make a point of making sure that I disconnect for sometime every day…sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t…but whenever it does, life is beautiful

Me too. Some days its a rabbit hole of mindless scrolling and some days I don’t care!

How true! We keep running the rat race without actually living the life.
