If you have read my last post on Ecotique, you would have had a background about the products and the brand I am talking about. Ecotique is a brand that focuses on creating chemical free products that are good for your skin. When I used their products, they had a complete range on skin care and some blended oils in aromatherapy. They have also very recently launched soaps in the bath care category. In this post I will give a very brief Ecotique review of the products I picked up.
Ecotique review
As you know I had picked up quite a haul from Ecotique from Amazon a few months ago and I am close to exhausting them, so before I have no pics to share, let me give you a very quick review of all that I have used till now. I picked up the 5 Earth series, some essential oils and massage oils. The 5 earth series is a collection of a scrub, mask, cream and the best selling product, the saffron oil. If you are looking at a complete skin care regime, you can opt for this product.
5 Earth Face & Body Scrub
I have to admit that I have never experienced a softer scrub. The 5 Earth Face & Body Scrub from Ecotique gently exfoliates the skin to leave your skin radiant and glowing. This mild scrub cleanses very very gently, yet removes all traces of dead skin and blackheads. You need very little scrub to massage on the face gently for a minute or two before washing off. It left my skin deeply moisturised and squeaky clean.
Saffron Oil
I picked one of their most bought products, the saffron oil which has real saffron strands in it. I have skin that tends to get really dry and itchy if its not moisturised well. I have never used oils before, but I used the Saffron Oil on damp skin and I really wasn’t disappointed. It gets absorbed really quickly and leaves a nice lingering fragrance. A must buy for dry skin, in fact all skin types to moisturise your skin effectively. It was a product that was used by the entire family this winter. I used it as a body moisturiser and also as a face oil. My husband and kids used it too. This is the MOST recommended product that I would suggest to buy irrespective of the skin type you have.
I also picked up the Stress Relief oil that my boys actually love! It has a very calming fragrance and the combination of lavender, peppermint and other essential oils help to calm and relax the tired mind. They love the weekly massage that they get with this oil.
5 Earth Face & Body Pack
This light and easy to spread face pack does not dry completely and you’ll need to wash your skin roughly 15 minutes after the application. I have used this twice and I prefer to wet the skin before using it so that I use lesser quantity of the product. It leaves your skin very clear and moisturised.
Young Essence Cream
This cream is a bit on the heavier side and since I have a combination skin, I prefer to use it as a night cream. I wake up with less oily T zone and it keeps my skin hydrated all through the night. With the winter coming in, my skin tends to become very dry and itchy. I am sure that this cream is going to work well this season. I highly recommend this for all skin types, especially those with dry skin.
Blended Oils
Did you know that blended oils can be used in many ways? Add them in the diffuser to spread a relaxing aroma, add to a pail of hot water and add a fistful of rock salt and soak your feet in it and you have an instant relaxing foot spa. Some blended oils can be mixed with carrier oils or your favourite cream and applied on the skin. I am currently using the stress relief oil that is really calming with its lavender fragrance. I use my stock of essential and blended oils mostly in diffusers.
They have recently launched a variety of soaps that are chemical free; and these lather really less, but are pure bliss for your skin. I am in love with the lavender one that I am using. Have you used products from Ecotique as yet? Which ones are your favourite? Leave a comment and let me know.
