Nourishing Apricot and Avocado Mask
One of super favourites and avocado is superfood for the skin. Peel the skins of avocado and apricot and blend to a pulp. If you have dry skin, add a drizzle of honey to it. Spread this blend on the face and neck and let the nutrients absorb into your skin for at least 20 mins. Wash off with cold water and pat your skin dry. If your skin feels stretched, use a dab of a serum to nourish your skin. This face mask is for all types and makes a perfect weekend routine for your skin.
Avocado with its creamy texture natural hydrates your skin while the anti-oxidants in apricots help to even skin tone and exfoliate the dead skin gently.
Cleansing Hibiscus Mask
Take a handful of hibiscus flowers and infuse them in water overnight. Strain the water and keep aside. Take 2 spoons of oatmeal and blend it to a fine powder. To this add the soaked hibiscus flowers, a drizzle of honey, two drops of tea tree essential oil and add the strained water to make a thick paste. You can always add the strained hibiscus water to get the right consistency.
Apply on the skin and the neck and let it stay for 20 minutes. When it’s dry, spritz some rose water on the mask and wet it. Gently massage the mask to let it exfoliate the dead skin and wash off with cold water.
Tea tree in the mask helps to control oil secretion, oats act as a natural exfoliator and hibiscus adds a wonderful glow to your skin.
Hydrating Pulse Face Mask
This is a mask that is elixir for oily skin. Soak about two tablespoons of moong dal overnight and strain excess water. Take quarter of a tomato without the seeds and a pinch of turmeric and add to the moong dal seeds and make it into a fine paste.
Massage this pack on your skin for about 2-3 minutes and let it stay for 15 minutes. Wash off with tepid water.
Tomatoes and turmeric help to reduce oil secretion and add a glow to the skin. Moong dal helps to exfoliate and buffs the dead skin cells to reveal glowing skin.
Detan Papaya & Honey Mask
Use this mask to get rid of the tan and add an extra glow to your skin. Papaya is known to contain papain, which is a naturally present enzyme in the fruit that helps to reduce pigmentation to give you an even skin tone.
Take about one slice of a diced papaya and add to this one teaspoon of honey, a pinch of turmeric and the juice of half a lemon. Blend this into a puree and apply it on your face and neck. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water. Take a cube of ice and massage on the skin for less than a minute. Pat your skin dry.
Lemon and turmeric help to lighten the skin tone, while honey moisturizes the skin. Natural enzymes in papaya help to get rid of the tan and add that festive glow to your skin.
