I had interacted with Shreya, the lovely lady behind the brand Burst Of Happyness sometime last year and we never got to take the association further. A lot of things were happening, our schedules were hectic and we finally connected again early this year! And I am glad that we connected because it allows me to introduce to all of you yet another awesome brand that is filled with the goodness of nature.
The story of Burst of Happyness
Shreya wanted to make her own products because most of the regular products available in the market did not suit her skin type and she would have allergies. She started to learn more about essential oils, aromatherapy and read up all that she could find about soap making. She spoke to a few experts in the industry, got to learn some tips and tricks and when she finally made the first soap bar, it turned out to the perfect one! She dabbled trying to work on new recipes, some were successful and some were disasters, but when people began to come back to her asking her to make more products for them that she decided to launch her venture, Burst of Happyness.
Now, if you are a soap lover like I am ( believe me I have soaps to last at least 3 years as I write this post, but I still get tempted all the time and not to mention the tough time I have to hide the stash!!), you will llove the products from Burst Of Happyness. Apart from soaps, she also has shampoo bars, facial cleansers, body scrubs, lotion bars, lip balms and she also takes custom orders for special events. She has also slotted products according to the skin type which makes it easier for one to shop. The categories are well defined, so you really cannot go wrong about what you are looking for.

The Haul
I picked up the beer and aloe shampoo, I have used flat beer as a rinse earlier and was keen to try a beer(y) shampoo too. I also picked up Twilight and the True Desi soap. I loved the look of these products on the website. Apart from these, I was sent the facial cleanser What a Girl Wants which is made of a clay base. You can use it as a regular face wash as well as a face mask. I was also sent the coffee scrub bar ( yes! more coffee in my life) and the carrot kaolin soap for reviews. She also offers paid samples on the website, so if you are nor sure how the full sized product would be, opt for the samples to try more varieties and zero in to what you may like.
Packaging
Did you see the no fuss packaging? There soaps are packed in a brown paper and some of the soaps are also packed in a tissue inside. There was no extra packaging and the products were also shipped packed in a large envelope. The body scrubs, lotion bars and facial cleansers are packed in cute tub packaging.
Shipping
Free shipping on a cart value of INR 500 and above in India and she ships internationally too. And if you are lucky enough, Shreya is generous to send across samples of other products from her store as well that you can try.
Important note on the shipping: Note that by default you will see an amount of INR 800+ added as the shipping cost. Don’t panic! It is a site issue that automatically calculates the shipping rate for Australia. All you need to do is select India ( for shipping in India) and the cost gets adjusted according to the purchases you have carried out.
What do you get for reading this review?
I love it when brands I talk about allow me to indulge my readers! So here I am with the coupon code prat15 that offers a flat 15% off on your orders from Burst of Happyness. And if you are lucky enough, Shreya might just pop in a sample or two with your order so that you get more than what you bargained for! The coupon is valid till June 30, 2014.
Recommendations?
Oh yes! I have been using the facial cleanser and I totally love it. The products are priced on the average side and are not very expensive. The soaps start at INR 150 and the most expensive ones are priced at INR 210. The facial cleansers and body scrubs may seem expensive but because you do not use a too much of the product, it lasts a long time. For the facial cleanser, if you made a runny paste and applied it on the face, it doubles as a pack as well as a cleanser giving adequate nourishment to your skin. The shampoo bar is something I am raring to try! The soaps will need to wait for a few days too! But I need to add here that I loved the fragrance!
This is a sponsored post and I was also sent products for a review apart from the purchases that I made. However, this does not affect my review.

Aloe beer & heena really make my hair bouncy shiny soft(I have super long hair oily scalp & dry towards end of hair strands)I follow up last rinse with ACV(2tbsp+4glass of water) or sometimes with dried gooseberry soaked whole night in water in normal container & use the strained water it gives amazing shine & gloss to my jet black hair…
