Apple cider vinegar (ACV) is my new obsession. Really! It’s a pity that I discovered it after the brouhaha died down, but nevertheless I discovered it! ACV can be used in many ways and I am listing a few ways you can incorporate ACV into your daily routine.

Apple Cider Vinegar benefits range from making your own cleaning solution, to toners, foot and hand soaks and more. Research has shown that it has various health benefits as well, ranging from reducing cholesterol, diabetes, boosting energy levels and also being a good digestive aid.
Let’s look at 5 apple cider vinegar benefits that will help not just you, but also your surroundings.
1. Detox your home
ACV is made from apple juice that is fermented to become hard apple cider. It is the fermented for the second time to become apple cider vinegar. Here is a quick recipe for you to clean your home with ACV. Combine 1 cup ACV with 1 cup of water. Store in a dispenser bottle to clean kitchen tiles, mirrors and windows. When you do this you are opting to not use any chemical laden cleaners for your home.
2. Condition your hair
Did you know that AVC is an excellent conditioner for your hair? You can make your own ACV rinse. Wash and clean an old shampoo bottle and add to it ½ tablespoon of ACV and 1 cup of cold water. Just pour this complete solution through your hair after you shampoo. Let it stay for at least 1 minute before you rinse it off completely.Pour the solution through your hair after shampooing. Do this several times a week for dramatic results.
3. DIY toner with ACV
Chuck the chemical toners from your dresser. Dilute one part of ACV with two parts of water and use this as a toner to wipe off the dirt and grime from your face. Use this toner in the morning before you apply your make up and at nights after you have washed off the make up and cleaned your face. Beauty experts claim that a dab of ACV can left on the skin overnight to fade age spots or acne scars. Men can also use this liquid as a natural aftershave.
4. Use it as a massage treatment
Got aching feet. Add 1/2 a cup of ACV to a bucket of warm water and add to this some rock salt, Soak your feet in it for at least 10 minutes. Not only will it ease the pain but it also acts like a deodorizes and reduces any unwanted odours. You can also mix 1 tbsp of ACV in 250 ml of water and use this to rub on your hands and feet to provide relief from aches and pains.
5. Lose weight!
Yes, I saved the best for last! Add a tsp of ACV to one glass of lukewarm water and add a bit of organic honey to it. Mix well and drink before every meal for weight management. You’ll need to do this consistently for the results to show. I use half a tsp, because I find the taste of ACV to be be very strong for my taste. I am still getting used to the taste. You will need to check with your doctor before you consume this to avoid any health setback.
