Amla – Tamarind Skin Polish by Auravedic {Product Review}

May 10, 2012 By: Pratibha4 Comments

I’ve used the Pure Lightening Sandal and Turmeric skin polish earlier from Auravedic and that was really effective especially in the winters because it moisturised the body post its usage. On one of my visits to Inorbit, I picked up the Amla – Tamarind Skin Polish and I must add here that this is yet another amazing product from Auravedic.  This is supposed to be a skin polish, but the exfoliation is so mild that I prefer to use it as a face polish. And here is the review.

Amla – Tamarind Skin Polish

About the Product

This creamy polish with purifying micro granules cleanses and exfoliates, removing dead skin cells to leave skin smooth and radiant. Gooseberry pulp combined with Red Tamarind dissolves dull, dead cells, revealing healthy radiant skin underneath.

Even though the polish is creamy, it does not leave your skin oily post its use. I’ve in fact noticed that my face is clearing up slightly with the use of this product. The granules are quite fine and the skin polish is nice and creamy so it spreads well. You don’t need to much of the polish. I left the polish on for about 2-3 minutes post its application. I had massaged it gently for about a minute  on the wet skin before I washed it off.

Packaging

It is packed in a small plastic tub with a protective lid that helps avoid any spilling of the product.  It makes it easy to scoop put the skin polish from the tub. Just ensure that the fingers are dry when you scoop out the skin polish.

Price and shelf-life

This skin polish is priced at Rs. 180 for a 50 gm tub and has a shelf-life of two years from the date of manufacture. It comes in two sizes, 100 ml and 50 ml, the 100 ml jar is priced at Rs. 300.

How to use it?

Scoop on to fingertips and gently massage over moist skin. Leave polish on skin for a few minutes before gently wiping it off with a cotton ball. Can wash off if required.

Will I recommend this? :Yes! I like this skin polish better than the Sandal and Turmeric Skin polish.
