There used to be a time when buying Lush was like a dream. You could get it only if someone travelled abroad or someone in Bangalore was travelling to the city you stayed and was kind enough to buy and get it for you. The first time I visited a physical Lush store was in 2007 in Bangalore and I remember the excitement of just walking into it!And today you have a Lush store or two in most cities.
And coming back to my review, I honestly have no idea why I get the Lush products that are not available online! This particular soap I am about to review is not available on the Lush India website, but you could try the stores if there is one in the city close to you. And I am not sure if it is available in the stores either because it shows as unavailable in the Lush UK site either which is their main site.
First things first, this is not a body soap, it is a hand soap. Yes, you read that right. When I first saw the soap and then looked for it in the Lush site, I could not locate it. It smelt very unlike the Lush soaps I had used earlier and Google came to the rescue informing me that it was a hand soap. The better half was clueless about it and just picked up the soap because he liked it. And well, I had already used it in the shower once and thought it smelt quite awful ( honestly, a cross between a spice that I can’t recollect and petrol) and that was what prompted me to find out what exactly it was!
This hand soap contains rose and honey which soften the skin. I really can’t smell those fragrances. The oregano oil has two active key compounds, carvacrol and thymol, which are proven to have a significant effect on harmful micro-organisms, thus keeping your hands germ free.
About the product
13 Soap may be unlucky for dirt, but it’s lucky for any of us wanting safe, hygienic hand cleaning. If you’re not using this, then you should be! Powerful ingredients in a beautiful classic soap, make keeping your hands safe a pleasant experience.
Price and Shelf life
This 100 gm soap was priced at INR 713 and it comes with a shelf life of 1 year. This was picked up in Oslo by the better half during one of his trips.
Will I recommend this?
That kind of money for a hand soap? I’ll get a year’s supply of the Dettol liquid. So you get my answer! And then even though it is a vegan soap, the ingredient list is not organic.
Well, I do have softer hands post washing with the soap, but I still am not recommending it!
